Sunday Facebook Challenge - Birthstone Colour - Emerald Green

Hi there,

today's theme of the facebook stamping group is "Birthstone Colour"

I am born in May, so my color is EMERALD

Emerald is a symbol for rebirth and it should grant youth, good fortune and forsight to the owner.

The word origin is Smaragdós/Greek or Smaragdus/Latin wich is translated as green gem. Emerald itself is derived from Esmeralda/Esmeraldus (vulgar Latin) a  variant of the Latin word Smaragdus.

Actually, there are some greens in my stash, but it took me a while to find the perfect green for this nail art.

China Glaze Jolly Holly & Glittering Garland are the both greens I used - I used the first one in two coats over Essie Help me grow and sealed it with Essence BTGN Top Sealer. Then I used a sponge and Glittering Garland to put it on the tips.
I stamped with H&M Golden Treasure and Konad m78. Actually this is one of my favourite image plates! I finished my stamping with Essence BTGN Top Sealer.

[Nail Art] Sunday's Facebook Challenge #4

Hello there.

It has been a while since I've participated in the Nail Art Stamping Callenge on sunday on the Facebook group. Now, I put my stamping stuff out and did some mani for this week.

This week's challenge was using a French Nail Design. I don't have long nails, so a French Design on the tips would look kind of weird, so I decided, to use the image all over my nails.

And this is what I used:

1x Base: Micro Cell Repair
2x OPI I don't give a Rotterdam
1x Essie GTG

Stamping: Essence silver twister + Cheeky CH 23

at least I tried to apply them diagonally
Finish: Essie GTG

Have a nice Sunday!

[Nail Art] Summer Challenge Round up - Mermaids - Carnival

Today, I want to show you two more manis from the Facebook Summer Nail Art challenge.

Yesterday's theme was "Mermaids", and so I decided to go with a sparkly glittery turquoise mani:

Essie Beach Bum Blu - Essence Open Water Dive - OPI Gone Gonzo

Fist I used P2 Base + Care as a base and applied two coats of Essie Beach Bum Blu and finished with one coat Essence BTGN Top Sealer:

Basecoat war der Base + Care von P2, dann folgten zwei Schichten von Essies Lack Beach Bum Blu und einer Schicht Essence BTGN Top Sealer:

Then I applied two thin coats of Essence Open Water Dive, this polish is so so perfect for layering and giving your nailpolish a special shimmer:

Anschließend habe ich zwei dünne Schichten Essence Open Water Dive aufgetragen:

Then, I sponged OPI's Gone Gonzo onto my tips and finished it with one thick coat of Essence BTGN Top Sealer:

And this is how my fingers looked like, when I got off my polish:

Today's theme is "Carnival". I am really bad at free painting, so I just thought about the colours, when I am thinking of Carnival and Carnival and I used  it as another expression for "Fair". And so I came up with a manicure in red-blue-caramel, using a dotting tool and tape

Catrice Marilyn and me - P2 Caraway - Absolute Nails Lara

Basecoat was P2 Base + Care, followed by 1 coat of P2 Caraway:

As a next step, I used some tape to get a seperate area, I used the red Catrice polish Marilyn and Me and the blue coat Lara from Absolute Nails by Douglas. Then I used the dotting tool and created some dots in the opposite colour onto the nails.
I finished with one coat of Essence's BTGN Top Sealer:

[Nail Art] Challenge Round up - Design in Orange & Green, Flip-Flops and Summer Glitter Sandwich

This wednesday I want to show you some of my latest designs from the Facebook Summer Nail Art Challenge. I participated in the days with summery green & orange, flip-flops and glitter sandwich mani.

First manicure is the orange and green design:

I decided to go with a tape mani, used some DIY scissors for a special design:

Base Coat P2

2 Coats of Essence Colourbration, I really love that light glittery green with sparkles in silver, orange and copper.

1 Coat of Essence Better than Gel Nails Top Sealer

Then I used the tape to create the design. For the orange I used a polish by H&M, I don't know the name, I bought it last winter as a part of a set with 5.

Finished with Essence Nail Art Top Sealer.

Second Mani Flip Flops:

I am a big Flip Flop fan, love to wear them in the summer for casual events. So I decided to give my nails a golden-nude base, then apply some colurful polkadots and finish with some stripes and a rhine stone on each nail.

I used P2 Base + Care as a base coat followed by two coats Essence irreplaceable. Then applied Essence BTGN Top Sealer.

Next, I put some Polka Dots onto my nails by using a dotting tool
I used:
Index: Catrice Forget me not
Middle F.: Essence Exit's on your right
Ring F.: Essence Four wheel drive
Pinky: Catrice Blues Brothers Vol. II

For the stripes I used Essence Fine Liner
Finish: Essence Nail Art Top Sealer

Third Mani Summer Glitter Sandwich:

Usually I don't prefere colours that are not really opaque, and OPI's Y'all come back ya hear is one of these candidates. I love the colour as itself but I don't like the outcome on my nails. Because of it's characterisitcs, I really love to do glitter sandwichs with it and so I decided to use this colour for the next mani.

Base Coat was P2 Base + Care followed by three coats of the OPI polish and one coat Essence BTGN Top Sealer.

For the glitter I used Essence Circus Confetti Topper and applied one last coat of OPI's Y'all come back ya hear. Top Coat was Essence Nail Art Top Sealer.

[Nail Art] Nail Art Challenge Candy Floss | Water Marble in Pink-White

As soon as I read the theme for today's challenge (as a part of this year's summer challenge) on the Facebook page, I had the imagination for my design.

When I hear about CANDY FLOSS, I am always thinking of white and pink coloured themes and sweet and fluffy twines full of yummy candy floss.
So I decided to do another water marble, this time in pink and white and added some cotton wool for the special texture.

Step by Step:

First, I applied P2 Base+Care Coat as a Base Coat, then I added one coat of Essence Iced Strawberry Cream. I really love that colour, but actually it is more rosy, than the picture below shows.

Second I did the water marbling, I used Alessandro Happy Pink, Yves Rocher French Manicure White, China Glaze Frosty and Essence I want that.

I am happy with the outcome, (don't know, why I got that blister on my ring finger nail :-() and I really start to love water marbling, I have so many ideas for different designs, can't wait, to try them all.

For a finish, I applied one coat of Essence gel look top coat and dipped some cotton wool into the wet top coat.

Ready to go for some yummy CANDY FLOSS NAILS:
